Movie Review: Real Steel (2011)

“Thanks to an admittedly corny script, some amazing fight scenes, and a terrific cast, “Real Steel’s” actually a winner by split decision.”–Richard Roeper, RichardRoeper.com
“They should call this overloud, underwhelming movie “Real Steal.” –Peter Rainer, Christian Science Monitor

Real Steel” is about a former boxer, Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) who, against all odds, gets one last shot at a comeback when he teams up with his estranged son, Max Kenton (Dakota Goyo) to build and train the perfect contender for the new high-tech sport of robot boxing. His life changes when he met up with his son, Max Kenton who found a robot at a dumb site named A.T.O.M which later on leads them to a fight against ZEUS, the ultimate fighting bot and reigning champion.

Overall, I would give a rating of 9/10, for that the storyline was good and the graphics and animations was splendid. A MUST watch movie =O So bring your friend and family this weekend to catch Real Steel in the cinema :P

  1. Real Steel is a blast, an unabashed crowd-pleaser that mixes Rocky, Transformers, video games and father-son bonding to great, if corny, effect. Still didn't need to be 127 minutes though. Nice review. Check out mine when you can please.
