[Food Review] Cafe Barbera at Sunway Pyramid

Cafe Barbera Food Review 

Thanks to Shannon , I was able to attend a food review by Cafe Barbera at Sunway Pyramid on Monday itself. With more than 140 years of coffee perfection, Cafe Barbera doesn't serves only freshly roasted coffee product; they also serve main course meals, pastas, pizzas, soups, desserts and more.




A good place to hang around or chill with your friends or family over the weekdays or weekends. We were given a choice to select any Barbera's coffee selection of our preference. Cafe Barbera serve a wide variety of coffee.

Before the main course meals were served, we were presented with fresh baked pastries

And we started off with the first entree of the day,

Rolled Smoked Duck Salad - RM20

Rolled smoked duck with mixed mesclun tossed with cherry tomato, coffee dressing and orange citrus.

 

Smoked Salmon Bruschetta - RM19

Sliced of smoked salmon with olive oil, capers, dill and rocket salad served on toast.

 

 Spinach & Cheese Spring Roll  - RM14

Rolled spinach with emmental cheese.

After the appetizers & salads, we had soups.

 

Mushroom and Pumpkin Soup - RM13 (bow) or RM7 (cup)

Homemade cream of mushroom soup/ Homemade cream of pumpkin soup with roasted garlic.

After that, we were invited to see how's the pizzas were prepared and made.

 

Pesto, Cheese and Mushroom Pizza - RM26

Topped with tomato sauce, pesto with mushroom, onion, black olive, garlic oil, parmesan andmozzarella cheese.

 

Hawaiian Chicken Pizza - RM26

Tomato sauce, chicken meat, onion, peppers, chunky pineapple and mozzarella cheese

Spicy Tuna Pizza - RM26

Tomato sauce, chicken meat, onion, chunky tuna meat, chilli flakes, olive oil and mozzarella cheese.

 Pastas were next in line, my favorite dish for the pastas was the Beef Carbonara!

Beef Carbonara - RM26

Fettuccine with sliced mushroom, beef and egg yolk in cream sauce.

Prawn Aglio Olio - RM29

Spaghetti cooked with prawns, olive oil, garlic, chillies, fresh basil and sundried tomato.

Salmon Aglio Olio - RM29

Pan fried salmon fillet topped with homemade caper sauce on bed of spaghetti aglio olio.

 

Chicken Lasagna - RM25

Layers of pasta, béchamel, cheese, spinach and minced chicken; baked in oven.

After done having the pastas & pizzas, it's time to roll in the carpet for the main course meals.

Stuffed Chicken Parcel - RM33

Stuffed chicken thigh with spinach, carrot, capsicum, turkey ham and mozzarella cheese, served with mashed potato and mushroom sauce.

Grilled Tenderloin - RM49

Served with sautéed baby potatoes, vegetables and green peppercorn sauce.

Braised Lamb Shank - RM39

Braised lamb shank with vegetables, served with fettuccine and grapes.

And now it's time to bring in the desserts! Favorite dessert of the day : Chocolate Fondant.

Molten chocolate pudding served with vanilla ice-cream

Tiramisu - RM12

House specialty tiramisu

Pear Crumble - RM14

Served with fresh pear and vanilla ice-cream

SausageFest 2011

SausageFest 2011, where local bands come perform, to help the kids by buying sausages.

*on a note all picture will be BW*

The event was held at Laundry Bar, The Curve on the 24th November at 9.00pm. It's the last gig and it's a blast :D

 

Upon registration under bloggers/media , each of us was given a goodie bag with lots and lots of stuff in it.

To get a sausage album it's only RM30. All funds will go towards the charity. Didn't manage to get the album by An Honest Mistake for RM20 only :/

A great way to end the event. Another band which I never heard before. They perform a few of their songs and one of them was Shut Your Monkey

Overall, love the local bands and it was a great performances!

Zee Avi's Concert in Malaysia at KL Live

 

Courtesy to Livescape Asia, i was able to catch Zee Avi’s concert at KL live yesterday. Came across some of her music before but I didn’t know it was sung by Zee Avi until yesterday. *being so happy after winning the contest, heads down to KL to see Zee Avi’s concert* It was worth the journey.

 

 

The concert started of with Narmi (drummer from One Buck Short)  and his band. Performing a few songs Tweet in Defiance, Whirl, cair and there’s more (*couldn’t remember :( ZOINKS!)

 

Right after Narmi and his band done with their performances, it’s Zee Avi’s turn to perform :D

 

ZEE AVI !!! At last :D ! Been standing for a very long time, while waiting for her to come on stage.
